Good Toastmasters Contest Speeches (in my opinion)
Danajaya Hettiarachchi – 2014 – “I See Something in You”
Sherri Su – 2018 – 2nd Place – “Turn Around”
David Henderson – 2010 WCOPS –
“How to Write a Winning Speech” – includes his 2010 Semifinal speech
Ed Tate – 2000 WCOPS– “Just One of Those Days” – (delivered at an NSA conference, but it’s his 2000 speech).
Darren LaCroix – 2001 WCOPS– “Ouch”
Olivia Schofield – 2011 – “Wodwik”
Scribe Book School
Amazon Kindle Publishing Direct
Compliation of self-publishing resources:
Hybrid publishing resources:
Top self-publishing companies for first time authors:
Findaway Voices is an independent platform that distributes to Audible and other audiobook platforms. One big advantage of this service is their distribution to Overdrive, the primary platform libraries use to acquire audiobooks and ebooks.
ACX is owned by Amazon and primarily distributes to Audible. While you’ll earn a little more on your Audible sales here, your distribution will also be limited.
NSA DC Speakers Academy – 1 year long coaching – it’s expensive, but lots of people have done it. Don’t know if they’re doing it for 2021 yet.
YouTube/Social Media resources: – some of these are gimmicky, but they cover the basics. Being on YouTube is one way to quickly build your audience and brand identity.
